Thank you Steve. Yes that makes more sense than gathering information for ALL programs as stated in the Table of Contents.
Unfortunately, when I completed the Comprehensive Needs Assessment, I went by the workplan and did not refer back to the table of contents. The workplan does mention the table of contents that should be included in the final regional plan. I will continue working on the plan and will include the list of agencies requested.Thanks again and I hope the information found in this topic will be able to assist others.

Throughout the process of completing a Comprehensive Needs Assessment (CNA), I was in contact with many of these organizations who are also part of the RCTP committee. These agencies have been active and engaged in the Regional Planning process for quite some time now. My questions were more about specific programs. For instance, I have a committee member who works for the Texas Department of State Health Services but don’t have the direct contact for someone in Birth/Death Records, Health Data Compilation, or Chronic & Infections Disease programs. Is it expected to have ALL contacts for programs provided?
Also, you mentioned that this was listed in item III due to the CNA. However, this was not a required element of the CNA in the workplan so it was not completed at that time. I do have a contact list of all RCTP committee members which includes many of these organizations.
I’m not trying to be arduous, I just want to make sure I provide TxDOT with all the required elements of this plan.
After talking to my PTC and re-reading the Plan to Work It! Guidebook, it does have only the three deliverables you mentioned so we are trying to figure out why my CNA & GA are separated. Thanks for your help in clarifying all this 🙂

My two workplans have four deliverables total:
FY 2016: Transportation Resource Inventory and Comprehensive Needs Assessment
FY 2017: Gap Analysis and Final Updated Plan
I don’t remember the exact way these were put together but I am thinking TxDOT determined the deliverables; I just included the activities and the dates and costs associated with each deliverable.
Yes Nancy, that makes perfect sense but the CNA I submitted was about unmet needs, not those that we are already meeting so in turn those are “gaps”. The only thing that is different is the two deliverables you mentioned were for FY 2016 and are complete. I will begin working on FY 2017 deliverables which are #1 Gap Analysis and #2 Final updated Regional Plan. So I need an whole other report for the GA and everything I saw online had them combined, which was not the case of my workplan. Hopefully I can get more information over the next few months to be able to complete a gap analysis without taking everything from the needs assessment 😉
This is a tough one. I just kept sending e-mails and calling. There are still some agencies that were left off due to no response since I had a deadline. I will continue to gather their information so it can be included in the final Regional Plan. I also would “hound” them at the monthly meetings. Sorry I couldn’t be more help :/ Good luck!!
