Hello all! In my research on how to conduct a Comprehensive Needs Assessment, I read a lot of information about talking to agencies. While this is a very important step, and one I will be utilizing, I feel that a lot of the information I am looking for will come directly from transit-dependent citizens. I have created a Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) to hear from riders their specific transportation needs and/or gaps in service. We meet this coming Monday and I will update you all on the turn out and the data we were able to gather. I am including some fun, interactive activities that I learned at a Creative Design Thinking training I attended a few weeks ago through the National Center for Mobility Management (NCMM). Should be fun!!!

I think that this is a really good idea. My question is if you cover a larger area (we have 9 counties) how can we properly manage all of this? Ideally I would like to have this type of local CAC for about 10 of the communities that we serve. It is virtually impossible to schedule that many meetings on an ongoing basis. If I try to consolidate the communities which would then require people to travel to attend the meetings, I don’t think I could get them to participate.
Thoughts???
